It's about time for...GALILEE!!

Galilee was incredible and we covered so much ground in our 11 day trip. I am going to place just a few pictures of several of the places we visted to provide a slight glimpse of the sites we had the opportunity to see.

Nazareth Village.

This village was a great site because it brought things of ancient Nazareth to life including clothing, working, structures, and more. I really enjoyed seeing how things might have been during Christ's time.

 Sea of Galilee and the surrounding cities

Of all the places we visted in Jordan, the Jordan river was my favorite. Despite the EXTREME heat, I enjoyed my time there immensely. The peace that I felt here was incredible and it was wonderful to read the account of the Savior's baptism and ponder those events right at the possible site. I feel so blessed to be able to visit these miraculous places.

JORDAN: Day 1

Itinerary/Sites to Visit:

Mount Nebo - Where Moses was given a view of the promised  land.

 Madaba

Machaerus - Palace of Herod where John the Baptist was beheaded.

Mt. Nebo - Don't look at the brass serpent!! (Except if I remember correctly, if the people looked at the brass serpent they were healed, so I think that is why I am only covering one eye ;). I think we all are in need of a little healing, right?)

My Dearest Grandpa

This Father's Day my sweet grandpa Hobbs passed away. My dad was able to catch me on the phone to tell me right before I headed off to Jordan. The news was hard to hear as I was not expecting it to be so sudden. I wish I could be with the family during this time, but am not able to because of my studies. My grandpa is such a wonderful man and I love him so incredibly much. I am so grateful for the gospel that assures me that I will see him again. Grandpa was loved by all who met him and knew him, and you never left his presence without a smile. My memories with him are so precious to me. He will be missed greatly. Grandpa, thank you for always taking time for me and for leading our family with such a Christlike example. I love you and I can't wait to see you again.

On Sunday, we headed on our Shfelah field trip. This field trip covers many awesome biblical places involving David, Goliath, Samson, etc. It was such a great day and one of our best field trips yet!
